Privacy Policy
Marque ("Marque," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by MARQUE LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Marque mobile application (the "App") and related services (together, the "Service").
Marque is offered only in the United States and is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. By using the Service you confirm you are at least 18 and located in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers from your chosen sign-in method (Apple, Google, Microsoft, or email).
- Style profile: age range, style direction, priorities, and weekly schedule you enter during onboarding.
- Wardrobe data: items you add, including category, colour, fit, brand, and other attributes, and photographs of your clothing that you choose to capture or upload.
- Communications: messages and feedback you send us, including in-app bug reports and feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: app interactions, feature usage, device model, operating system, and diagnostic/crash data, collected through analytics and crash-reporting service providers.
- Approximate location: used to provide local weather for recommendations. Location is used at the time of a request and is not stored as part of your profile.
- Push notification token: if you enable notifications.
Information from connected email accounts (optional)
If you connect a Google (Gmail) or Microsoft (Outlook/Microsoft 365) account, we access a limited, read-only view of your mailbox solely to identify clothing order-confirmation emails and extract item details (such as item name, brand, and purchase information) to help build your wardrobe. See Section 4 for the specific limits on this access.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the Service — generate daily outfit recommendations, build and manage your wardrobe, and personalise your experience;
- Process your wardrobe data and context through third-party AI providers to generate styling recommendations (see Section 3);
- Identify items you already own from connected email accounts;
- Send you notifications you have enabled;
- Provide shoppable recommendations and affiliate links (see Section 6);
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
- Communicate with you about support requests and Service updates;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI Processing
To generate styling recommendations, we share relevant information — such as your style profile, wardrobe contents, and daily context (weather, day type) — with third-party artificial intelligence providers that process it on our behalf. We do not permit these providers to use your personal information to train their models, and we share only what is needed to produce your recommendations.
4. Email Access — What We Do and Don't Access
Connecting an email account is optional and can be disconnected at any time.
What we access: read-only access limited to identifying clothing order-confirmation emails and extracting item and purchase details from them.
What we do not access: we do not read, store, or process your personal correspondence, non-order emails, contacts, calendar, financial account credentials, or any data unrelated to clothing order confirmations. We do not send email on your behalf. On initial connection we look back no more than 18 months.
Revoking access: you can disconnect your email account at any time in the App. Disconnecting immediately removes our access tokens. Wardrobe items already added to your account remain unless you delete them.
Google API Limited Use disclosure: Marque's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information obtained from Google accounts is used solely to provide and improve the wardrobe features described above, is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans except as required for security, to comply with law, or with your explicit consent. Equivalent limits apply to information obtained through Microsoft accounts.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as follows:
- Service providers (sub-processors): companies that perform services for us under contract, by category — cloud hosting and database/storage, authentication, AI processing, analytics and crash reporting, push-notification delivery, and email-provider APIs. They may process your information only to perform services for us.
- Affiliate and retail partners: when you tap a shopping link, you are directed to a third-party retailer or affiliate network. We may receive a commission. We do not share your wardrobe or profile data with these partners; standard click and referral data is handled by the affiliate network under its own policies.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Marque, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Affiliate Disclosure
Marque participates in affiliate programs. Some shopping links in the App are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never change which items we recommend for you; recommendations are based on your wardrobe, style, and context. Purchases are made directly with the third-party retailer, and we are not a party to those transactions.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
8. Security
We use Row Level Security on our database so that your data is isolated to your account, encrypt data in transit, and restrict access to authorised personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access and review your profile and wardrobe data in the App;
- Correct your information by editing it in the App;
- Delete individual items, disconnect a connected email account, or delete your entire account (which deletes your associated personal information as described in Section 7);
- Control notifications through in-app settings and your device settings.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@marque.style; we will verify your request consistent with applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at support@marque.style.
12. Where the Service Is Offered
Marque is currently offered only in the United States and is not intended for use by individuals located outside the United States. If we expand to other regions in the future, we will update this Policy to describe the additional rights and protections that apply.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means and update the "Last updated" date above.
